Sean Spicer: We Expect Health Care Vote Around 3:30 Today

The White House and Republican leaders are scrambling to get enough votes to pass the American Health Care Act in the House. There are reports that it may go down if it’s put up for a vote, due to resistance from the House Freedom Caucus and other Republicans.

The vote was expected to take place yesterday, but it was postponed. According to multiple reports, Speaker Paul Ryan went to the White House this afternoon to relay the message that they simply don’t have the votes.

But The Washington Post‘s report says that Ryan met with Trump around 1:30 pm ET, minutes after Sean Spicer said the White House still expects “a vote somewhere around the 3:30, 4:00 hour.”
