Sen. Kyl Claims Obama Told Him No Border Security Until Immigration Is Reformed

While attending a Tea Party town hall meeting in North Tempe, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office, Obama and he discussed securing the Mexican Border. Kyle quoted the president as claiming that border security was problematic thusly, “If we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support ‘comprehensive immigration reform.”

It’s a rare occasion that a politician would reveal such a stunning claim that ostensibly came from a private “one on one” meeting between a President and Senator. The most relevant bit of the comment begins at the 3:20 mark in the following clip and is received by audible gasps in the room.

IF what Kyl claims to be true, then it would be a rather stunning admission by the President that he would systematically opt to be derelict in presidential duty for political gain. Which is why the President and White House officials will almost certainly (and quite publicly) counter this claim.

This will likely become a case of “he said/he said” and the Obama administration will most certainly point to the president’s of very disciplined rhetoric as push back against Kyl’s claims. Given the US Justice department’s recent plans to file to sue the State of Arizona over the controversial new anti-illegal immigration law, this will almost certainly open a new chapter in the political debate regarding Arizona’s

So far no one has seen or heard from any troops. I guess they are waiting for immigration reform first. Obama is trying to make both sides happy and pissing off everyone.

when it comes to lying, the GOP has nothing on the Obama regime. but the trick only works because so many people are, incredibly, willing to believe anything Teh One says, and fortunately, that tide is changing, albeit slowly.

1200 troops who aren’t allowed to do anything, that’ll solve the problem. And Shootfromthehip, a blog on blogspot called honkylsaliar? Seriously? First off I doubt Kyle “kicked” anyone out of the Oval Office or “asked them to leave”. Second even if the President espoused this view, why in the hell would he express it to Kyle of all people? Kyle is just throwing some red meat to his like minded supporters. Start the clock on how long it takes Kyle to retract or refine this statement.

Upon hearing this, the president muttered, “Maybe now those ‘patriotic’ idiots will vote for Comprehensive Immigration Reform…or as we call it, the New Democrat Voters Act!” “There’s too many people clinging to their bibles and guns in Arizona anyway.” “Send ‘em 1200 troops to shut them up.”

1200 troops to guard the nearly 2000 mile long border. 1 guard for each 1.7 miles. But, they don’t guard/work 24 hours a day, so it would be 3 shifts. Now we are down to 400 guards per shift. 400 guards for each shift equals 1 guard for each 5 miles. Yep, that should do it.

Obama will talk of suing Arizona to make all the Hispanics love him around election time. Are you legal Hispanics really that childlike? The Democrats have lied to get almost all blacks to vote for them every time. Are Hispanics the next bunch to blindly vote for who they are told to vote for? You, just like the blacks, are better than that. Don’t sell out. You are part of a great nation. Do your part to keep it that way. Support American law…or leave.

And Mr. President, your job is to protect our border. Do it.
