State Department Again Under Fire For Trump Conflict: Deletes Retweet Promoting Ivanka Book

Just ten days after facing questions about a potential Trump conflict of interest, the State Department is again coming under criticism for appearing to promote a Trump family business venture.
Multiple outlets are reporting that the official Twitter account for the State Department’s Office of Global Women’s Issues retweeted a Tweet from first daughter Ivanka Trump on Thursday in which she plugged her newly released book, Women Who Work

Just yesterday, a government funded news site, Voice of America, posted a review of Ivanka’s book.
Conflict of interest questions have plagued both the State Department and the first daughter over the past several weeks. Last Monday, a State Department website appeared to promote Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
Ivanka Trump, meanwhile, cancelled a planned book tour in order to avoid the appearance of a conflict. Recently, Ivanka’s fashion brand received three trademark approvals from the Chinese goverment on the same night the first daughter dined with China’s President, Xi Jinping.
