Top Democrat on House Intel Committee: Trump May Have Disclosed Classified Info in Tucker Interview

In an interview that aired last night on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, President Donald Trump spoke to host Tucker Carlson about his allegations that former President Barack Obama had wiretapped his phones prior to the election. At one point in the conversation, Trump apparently brought up the recent leaks of CIA spying methods when asked why he didn’t go the intelligence community to verify his claims, saying the following:
And by the way, I just want people to know the CIA was hacked and a lot of things were taken. That was during the Obama years, that was not us, that was during the Obama situation.
Well, it appears that the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee isn’t too thrilled with those comments. In a statement released today, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed that the president may have disclosed classified information in that interview.
.@POTUS appears to have discussed something that, if true & accurate, would be classified. Had it been anyone else he would call it a “leak” pic.twitter.com/XedWH4CTNF

As you can see, Schiff also hit Trump for doing something that he’s complained about over and over these past few months — leaking to the press.
