Twitter Condemns Donald Trump Jr. After NY Times Bombshell: ‘This is Treason’

The Twitterverse was set ablaze on Sunday night in light of the news that Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer for the express purpose of helping his father’s presidential campaign.

New York Times has revealed that the president’s son and two of his campaign advisers met a Kremlin affiliate who supposedly promised them information that could hurt Hillary Clinton. Trump Jr. says the discussion didn’t provide any major dirt on his father’s opponent, though the meeting’s implications invite new questions for the ongoing probes into Russia’s 2016 election interference.

Naturally, media observers on Twitter took quite a bit of interest in this.

Some people found it interesting that Trump Jr. changed his description of the meeting on multiple occasions since the initial story came out on Saturday:
