On The Newstand: Tabloids Can’t Seem To Decide On Whether Michael Douglas Is Dying Or Not

As we all know, different media outlets have different takes on the same story. We also know that tabloids don’t always tell the entire truth. However, this picture will probably do more to reenforce those two beliefs than any examples I could ever link to. You can just imagine the editors in their office wondering, “Which sells more issues, a miraculous recovery or a tragic death?”

The photo, captured by Reddit user Fishbert and posted with the brilliantly simple headline “Optimism vs. Pessimism” shows dueling issues of People and Globe which just can’t seem to get the story straight on how Michael Douglas is doing. There’s nothing weird about this really though. A person can totally feel stronger every day at the same time they’re preparing to die, right?

    I suspect,,
Elaine B & Black Widow would purchase the “Globe” version,,
    ‘coz you know,, their pessimists,,
RRK would buy both of ‘em just because he is in his mind pompous and both would be a delightful read while dinning on his TV dinner

Republicans would just walk right on by the stand muttering “He aint dead yet?”

    Hey Gekko,,
you wanna see greed at work,,,
wait until you die and the government gets a hold of your estate!

But as i just witnessed on FOX with Megyn Kelly,,
Rep. Anthony Weiner doesnt give a rat’s ass if it’s greed,, coz you’ll be DEAD
“You cant tax the dead,, ‘coz they’re dead”

FUNNY,, somehow DEAD votes always count though
