Fox News: Newt Gingrich Wins South Carolina

It’s been a very, very wild ride for former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich— one that began with what appeared to be a quixotic campaign against presumptive nominee Mitt Romney, took a nosedive when his campaign staff resigned en masse, peaked too early before Iowa, fell once again as the focus shifted to Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman, and here we are again, I guess it must be fate.

FOX News was first to project Newt Gingrich the winner, with percentages in full forthcoming– The feuds with Juan Williams and John King seemed to help: What this means for the future of the other campaigns is as uncertain as the future of Gingrich’s.
