Anderson Cooper Delivers Knockout Punch To Trump Campaign Manager Over Settling Lawsuits

screen-shot-2016-10-11-at-10-01-56-pmDuring a contentious interview with Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, CNN’s Anderson Cooper momentarily stunned the veteran Republican operative into silence when he threw a talking point right back into her face.

Conway brought up former President Bill Clinton settling a civil lawsuit with Paula Jones in the ’90s, stating that the settlement was proof that Clinton had sexually harassed Jones.

However, considering Donald Trump’s lengthy history of litigation and settlements —like for racial discrimination — the CNN host wondered where the Trump team has a leg to stand on when it comes to using settled lawsuits as an attack strategy.

“You’re implying that settling a lawsuit implies guilt,” Cooper noted, after having already. “Donald Trump has settled numerous lawsuits, including the racial discrimination lawsuit years ago without accepting any guilt. Are you saying there may be some guilt there?”

Obviously not expecting Cooper to deliver that haymaker, a flustered Conway stammered a bit. She eventually recovered and proceeded to go on a long filibuster about Jones, Kathy Shelton, Kathleen Willey and some other stuff that had nothing to do with the question that Cooper had just asked her.
