Bernie Goldberg ‘Confirms’ Trump 2012 Bid Amid Worries Of ‘Snarky’ Coverage

After a good week or two of snickering speculation over Donald Trump‘s semi-presidential media blitz, Bernie Goldberg dropped quite the bombshell on tonight’s O’Reilly Factor: according to reliable sources, Trump has made up his mind and, yes, he is gunning for the GOP nomination. With that out of the way, Goldberg and Bill O’Reilly moved onto the second order of business: will the media ever take him seriously?

Goldberg began his weekly segment with exciting news, filling the role of “reporter” and not “analyst” for a few minutes to confirm that, “barring any unforeseen circumstances,” Donald Trump was indeed running for the Republican nomination for President. Then, switching back to analyst, he told O’Reilly that he found it very unlikely the media would take him seriously, initially because they simply don’t think he will run (“they think it’s all publicity”), and, once he does run, because “the media is insular” and has a hard time digesting political candidates that aren’t career politicians. The problem with that perspective, Goldberg argued, is that the national sentiment towards career politicians is at an all-time low: “it’s a big plus in this day and age not to be a politician.”

O’Reilly agreed, though he expressed concern about the media’s “confusion” about Trump’s potential run. He compared the bad press to what Sarah Palin has had to endure. “The press has been kind of snarky, not vicious like Palin, but condescending,” O’Reilly noted, asking if it will get worse as time goes along. “It will if he catches on,” Goldberg predicted, reiterating that the fact that “most politicians couldn’t run a lemonade stand” gives Trump an edge, but alienates the media, which “will get nasty” if Trump’s poll numbers rise enough to make him a viable candidate.

Three words why Trump will not run:
    FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE FORM

And why won’t Steve Wynn let him in Vegas?

Maybe Bob Barker can run too! I love to see Game Show hosts as candidates.

OH HELL yes, this is fabulous.

Bernie Goldberg says, “Look Bill, There are a lot of very very stupid Americans out there. They are dumb enough to actually take Trump seriously so its something the media is going to go along with for a bit if they want the ratings.”

What, only three comments on the Trump presidential run!!! This ought to tell us something. Right?

Sound general quarters!! All Dims on deck! Rush up and tell everyone how un-AFRAID you are of having Trump solve our financial problems with China and reduce our 10% unemployment………………….YOUR guy can still keep up the devastation. Whistle past the graveyard while making jokes about your opposition.

Most of all, convince yourself you really AREN’T terrified at losing the momentum to destroy America through economic depression, diplomatic malfeasance, and subjugation of our sovereignty to the UN. Make fun!

I don’t think we should be underestimating Mr. Trump. With Lard Limbaugh and Michelle-in-Utah supporting him, how could he lose? Sure, I know he will. But how?

I can’t imagine how we would not benefit from having America run by a serial bankrupt/welfare recipient.

The Democratic Media will selectively Omit, Misrepresent, and Outright Lie in order to help get THEIR SOULMATES in the Democratic Party elected.

Trump is just another obstacle to their goal.

The American Media – with only FOX and a few others being the exceptions – has morphed into a purely political propaganda machine for the Democratic Party!!

Do you see any specific omissions, misrepresentations and lies with reference to the Donald? I could be missing something, but it seems to me we have merely been watching the media let a self-absorbed fool be a self-absorbed fool.

There’s clearly been a dismissive, condescending perspective on the part of the LeftStream Media in covering The Donald.
btw, I know people who’ve dealt with him personally, and the supercilious demeanor is no facade!

This country needs a Tough-As-Nails Businessman/woman to get us back in shape, and he may be just the one.
Romney is an obvious choice, as well; but please, don’t even suggest the current occupant, whose only business-sense comes in the form of cronyism!

If only the media would have done a better job of vetting the self absorbed fool in the White House.
We already know more about Trump than we ever knew about The One.

Yes, I agree about the dismissive, perhaps even condescending demeanor. I do think that the Donald invites this to a very large degree.

I might also agree about the tough-as-nails businessman/woman. However, I have often been disappointed when we get such a person. Invariably, on school boards, city councils, county boards, this type of individual is a terrible disappointment. It’s not that the skill set doesn’t prepare them adequately, it is that they never seem to be able to adapt their skills to their new environment. There are fundamental difference between business operations and governmental operations. So much of the very tough times we are facing in Texas these days can be put at the altar of the intransigent businessman. If you want to look for an exception to that failure, look at Romney’s father.

Trump is incredibly Germaphobic, does he realize how many hands he’ll have to shake in order to get the nomination

I’m having a hard time coming up with any great world leader who began their career in business. The last president we had was a business person, but he took a country in surplus, which was a beacon to the world, and promptly ran it into the ditch, shit on the wreckage and set it aflame. A worldwide laughingstock, with the lowest polling on record at home, he was easily one of the five, maybe ten (because it’s a sin to be too harsh on retards) worst presidents we’ve ever had.

And like George Dumdum Bush, Trump is a guy born on third base who thinks he hit a triple. If it weren’t for the bankruptcy laws & the corporate veil, he’d have lost daddy’s fortune long ago. He claims that Obama’s not respected in the world, but hell, Trump’s not respected in the USA. He’s been a punchline for thirty years. Moreover, like most of the corporate elite, he’s got a thin-skin, a narrow worldview, and if the game wasn’t rigged in his favor, he’d've been over long ago. (I mean, his grand idea is to talk tough to the Chinese. Why hasn’t anyone else thought of that? Because it’s idiotic.)

He’s quite the showman, though, and I hear there’s job openings at the circus.
