Since the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig exploded April20, the Obama administration has granted oil and gas companies at least 27 exemptions from doing in-depth environmental studies of oil exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico.

The waivers were granted despite Obama’s vow that his administration would launch a “relentless response effort” to stop the leak and prevent more damage to the Gulf. One of them was dated Friday – the day after Interior Secretary Salazar said he was temporarily halting offshore drilling.

when i found out during the primaries that Obama was the #1 recipient of funds from the hated Peabody Coal Company…I knew this fellow wasnt the great liberal hope and hero that he was being painted as.

I voted for him in November (Im a 100% labor dem)

but I never EVER expected him to overturn the offshore drilling ban!

The day he did this i called a friend who is one of Biden’s top aides (Im oriiginally from delaware and have known Biden since i was 12 and first came to DC at 17 to work for him) he told me that Joe was sick over this (Joe has fought coastal drilling for almost 40 years)

I warmed him that this was going to be very, very bad for the administration. It already is a terible situation for them and it will get MUCH worse. The Obama admin deserve every bit of the storm that will be coming at them once the scope of the disaster of this spill plays out.

But as Gibbs and Salazar showed this week, this clods are still backing new drilling. Theyve only said the stoppage on new exploration is “temporary”.

So sad that the leftists seem to be happy about this. Talk about wanting failure.

They should aggregate all the drill-baby-drill drone dittoheads (starting with SAraH PAYlin) and ship them off to the gulf coast to clean up that mess. Palin’s mouth would serve as an acceptable dome to cap the gusher…..and I’m not talking about that of the thoughtless ramblings emanating from the dead space between her ears.
