Christie: Rand Paul’s To Blame if There’s Another Terror Attack
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) joined his old friends at Morning Joe Monday morning and told them that if there were another terrorist attack on U.S. soil, the pitchfork crowd should head to Senator Rand Paul’s (R-KY) house.
“What Rand Paul has done to make the country weaker and more vulnerable is a terrible thing,” Christie said, referring to Paul’s opposition to the renewal of the Patriot Act last month. “For him to raise money off it is disgraceful.”
“As the only guy who used the Patriot Act in this race, as a former prosecutor, we’re going to look back on this, and he should be in front of hearings, in front of congress, if there’s another attack. Not the director of the FBI or the director of the CIA.”
Christie, a law-and-order GOP type, and Paul, a libertarian GOP type, have been a-fussin’ and a-feudin’ since long before either was a declared presidential contender.
