It appears that Ms. Shirley Sherrod had just unwittingly exposed herself as the perpetrator of one of the biggest fraud claims in the United States – a fraud enabled solely because she screamed racism at the government and cowed them into submission. And it gets even more interesting. Ms. Sherrod has also exposed the person who aided and abetted her in this race fraud.

As it turns out, the original judgment of “Pigford v. Glickman” in 1999 only applied to a total of 16,000 black farmers. But in 2008, a junior Senator got a law passed to reopen the case and allow more black farmers to sue for funds. The Senator was Barack Obama.

I may prefer they help their fellow countryman out of charity, but in the end, it is none of my business. BUT, this is on our dime. The gov’t is our servant to providing for our liberty and other items (ugh! but that is beyond this conversation)… not royalty. Beyond what is necessary to perform their given duties, gov’t officials should live rather meagerly. I don’t know where this idea of gov’t officials appearing so regal became so undeniable.

And it does matter… and politically is where it will make the most impact. It swells the number of people that see an obvious disconnect between the citizenry and those in power. I am amazed at times at how the Obama machine makes more political blunders than Bush’s.

You have to be honest when it is for you just as when it is against you. I don’t think you can deny that this was, at the least, ill-advised.

I have an idea, instead of using taxpayer money to cover any vacation costs for POTUS AND FLOTUS, why not let their supporters contribute to a fund that covers the cost incurred by moving the first family around. If there is no money in the fund, no trips to Spain with Air Force Two and the Secret Service. no date nights to NYC unless the family covers it. That would be for ANY President, no matter the party. Do any of us “little people” get to charge any parts of their vacation to the taxpayer?
