Did Martin O’Malley Take a Shot at Bernie Sanders?

 

o'malleyDemocratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley talked about Joe Biden being a potential presidential rival this morning and said something that sounded like a swipe at another rival.

There’s been lots of chatter about the vice president getting into the race to face O’Malley, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and the rest, but nothing’s definitive yet.

O’Malley chuckled as he said on ABC’s This Week today, “It would be nice to have at least one more lifelong Democrat in the race.”

The way that was phrased made George Stephanopoulos immediately think he was taking a shot at Sanders for being a lifelong self-identified socialist who’s only now getting into the Democratic nomination process.

O’Malley insisted he was just complimenting Biden for being a lifelong Democrat, but watch the video below (via ABC) and see if it was really that simple:
