Fox Business and CNBC Reporters Get in Brutal Twitter Brawl: ‘Ur Not Just Fat But Dumb’

 


What do correspondents for Fox Business and CNBC do when they are not analyzing Wall Street on television? If they’re Fox’s Charlie Gasparino and CNBC’s Ron Insana, they apparently spend their Friday afternoons viciously going at it on Twitter over something as innocuous as a magazine ad.

It all started when Insana had this reaction to a new ad campaign featuring Gasparino:

As you can see, while Insana stayed mostly to the issue at hand, Gasparino made his argument primarily about his competitor’s weight and lack of hair. And as promised, he brought to fight to Fox Business’ Countdown to the Closing Bell with Liz Claman minutes later.

“Don’t you want to talk about my Twitter war?” Gasparino asked Claman, who did not seem as eager to wade into this fight. “I’m not being mean, he was mean to me,” he insisted when she asked him why he felt the need to mock the CNBC contributor on air.

“I have left him in the dust, the disgusting slob he is,” Gasparino continued, calling him a “paid shill” for Wall Street. Even after Claman tried to move on to another subject, he would not let it go. “He’s disgusting! He’s the lowest form of journalist.”

“Go back to Twitter,” Claman told him.
