Fox News Ticker: ‘Jared Kosher’ Meets With Russian Lawyer

Sometime Wednesday morning, a Fox & Friends ticker ran curious typo in the spelling of President Donald Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner’s name.
The ticker ran a headline on reports that Kushner, now a senior White House adviser, met with a Russian lawyer during his father-in-law’s presidential campaign to seek dirt on Hillary Clinton — but spelled Jared’s last name as “Kosher”:
“PRES TRUMP’S SON-IN-LAW JARED KOSHER MET WITH VESELNITSKAYA”
Kushner is a modern Orthodox Jew, and his wife Ivanka Trump converted to Judaism for their marriage. The young adviser and real estate scion has been charged with brokering Middle East peace by President Trump — in addition to numerous other tasks.
The Fox ticker typo follows an unfortunate chyron that ran on the network last week, emblazoned over a video of Trump’s speech in Warsaw, Poland.
The chyron read “POTUS: WEST SAVED BY BLOOD OF PATRIARCHS,” and Trump himself even tweeted it out:
THE WEST WILL NEVER BE BROKEN. Our values will PREVAIL. Our people will THRIVE and our civilization will TRIUMPH! pic.twitter.com/sozuVgdp5T
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 6, 2017
The president’s actual quote referenced the “blood of patriots,” which makes a little more sense.
