Geraldo: Is It ‘Penis Envy’ That Leads Men to Hunt and Kill Wild Animals?

Fox’s Geraldo Rivera has an interesting take on the killing of Cecil the lion:

Re slaughter of #CecilTheLion Aside from food in desperate times what is the need to hunt and kill wild animals? Is it penis envy?

Yes, “penis envy” is a Freudian concept about young women during their psychosexual development, but we’ll let it slide. Geraldo seems to mean “envy” in the newer sense — i.e., big tough men acting a certain way because of deep-seated insecurities about their penis size.

Either way, this strange diagnosis already makes him leagues better an analyst than colleague Dr. Keith Ablow.
