Hannity Panelists Battle Over ‘Race-Baiting Racism’ on the Left
Democratic congressman Alan Grayson shocked everyone Tuesday with a provocative fundraising e-mail comparing the tea party to the KKK, and on Tuesday night Sean Hannity got in a heated debate with his guests over the onslaught of attacks from the right. He and Niger Innis agreed that this was completely outrageous, but Democrat Richard Fowler repeatedly refused to tell Hannity whether or not it was appropriate, instead flipping the script on the tea party.
Innis blasted the “race-baiting racism” from the left and the “Al Sharptonization of the Democratic party,” and Hannity pressed Fowler to say whether Grayson’s KKK comparison is appropriate. Fowler did not say directly, though he did agree the tea party is as unpopular as the KKK.
Hannity and Innis piled on Fowler for what Innis said was a distraction from the terrible economy, and Hannity told Fowler, “You don’t have the moral strength and fortitude to just say that’s inappropriate.” Fowler brought up John McCain‘s tea party criticisms, but Hannity dismissed it and said he lacks the “courage” to denounce Grayson’s remarks.
