Stewart on Brian Williams: Finally! Someone Held Accountable for Iraq Lies

Jon Stewart tonight addressed the Brian Williams media fiasco, and while he roasted Williams for changing his Iraq story multiple times, and for allowing the “celebrity cortex” in his brain to override his journalistic instincts, he did have a lot more to say about the media’s hypocrisy on the matter.

Stewart declared, “Finally, someone is being held to account for misleading America about the Iraq War!”

He was a little bothered by how the media “pretends that they must guard the crown jewel of their credibility,” not even thinking twice about any of the lies they might have been told by people who actually made decisions about the Iraq War.
