Trump Spox: ‘Gun Control Essentially Is Abolishing the Second Amendment’

Hillary Clinton has not called for abolishing the Second Amendment, but the reason Donald Trump says so, as one of his spokespeople explained on CNN today, is because “gun control essentially is abolishing the Second Amendment.”

Wolf Blitzer was a little taken aback like this, saying that lots of people, including members of the National Rifle Association, favor at least “some form of gun control.”

Pierson insisted that Clinton “wants to stop law-abiding citizens” from having guns, except the ones that protect her.

For the record, when Clinton was asked about whether she wants to abolish the Second Amendment on CNN minutes after Pierson’s interview, she said, “Either he is very badly misinformed or he knows better. That is absolutely ridiculous.”
