Things got a tad catty this weekend while Kimberly Guilfoyle was guest host of Geraldo At Large (Geraldo Rivera was on assignment in Haiti.) While wrapping up a segment with pundits Kristen Powers and Ann Coulter , Guilfoyle noted to Coulter “That Scarf Around Your Neck Has Us Curious.” I know, I know! Gasp! The shocking video below!

We all know what we’re all thinking: the Adam’s apple.

Wow… it only took one comment for this to get so very predictable.

I sometimes think the haters (on both sides) have a rolodex of insults, and just copy/paste as the situation “demands.”

Colby Hall tee’s it up, and everyone hits it down the fairway. Inspired.

    Indeed.

INB: You have to admit, it is a prevalent and puzzling feature. It’s as if Rush needed to wear a 38 D cup. Bad example. It is as if Anderson Cooper had to wear a 38 D cup. You just notice.

    This passes for news?

Sort of like Coulter’s whole career.

She could be into the whole choking sex thing. Just saying!!

One thing I didn’t know until recently is that it is not unusual for women to have an adam’s apple.. and since Coulter is skinny at best, it would be more prominent. I think Hall is laughing at the people who take this stuff seriously though.. so good point.

Guilfoyle was once married to S.F. Mayor Gavin Newsom and was briefly spoken of as a Jackie O for the 21st Century to Newsom’s Kennedy (that is, until Newsom’s truly Kennedyesque traits made themselves manifest). Like Geraldo, she’s no right-winger, but she has never given a reason to believe she and Coulter are at odds.

I’m guessing perhaps that she was implying some sort of “love bite.” If Coulter had been gaining weight, I would think perhaps there might be a turkey neck issue.

Eh… talking about Ann’s “adam’s apple” is the last resort for folks who either don’t know the facts well enough to debate her, or who are far too interested in making jokes. I mean, there’s a time and a place for everything… but really, at this point, the “Ann’s a man” meme is kinda hack… don’t you think?

I’m not puzzled by it… I simple don’t care. There are more important things to talk about (like the things she says…) which are much more worthwhile.

Chalk this up to talking about Olbermann perpetual “orange” or Maddow’s short hair. Maybe a chuckle… but that’s beyond that… *yawn*

Oh, I disagree. Coulter’s outrage is predictable… but whatever “attention grabbing” thing she says next, is less so.

I’m more cynical than you are about Colby’s motive.

As I noted in his December 21, 2009 thread regarding Sen. Coburn’s pre-ObamaCare cloture vote remark “praying” someone couldn’t make it through a D.C. blizzard to the Senate floor, Colby seemed to invite commenters to take their shot at the ugliest interpretation of the quote.

    As I wrote then:

You know good and well that any interpretation of the remarks as a death wish wasn’t supported by a verbatim quote of Coburn. So you instead dangled “The exact meaning of those words will likely be discussed in depth tomorrow” knowing that the death wish allegations would be made by looney lefties who don’t care about the facts (Hello, m! Hello, Jack Davey!). That would, in turn, give you license to report on the controversy stirred up by people making the allegation…

    (snip)

… you were biding your time until the cavalry charged in to make a false charge you didn’t want attributed to you personally, but would nonetheless highlight and promote.

Who cares? I find Coulter’s statements offensive, not her clothing or her physique.
