On Fox, Kirsten Powers Suggests Next Job For Anthony Weiner: ‘A Show At CNN, Maybe?’

Kirsten Powers, a New York Post columnist and former flame of Rep. Anthony Weiner has a suggestion for the scandal-tarnished politico’s next job: “a show at CNN, maybe?” In an interview on Fox News, Powers argued Weiner’s “very good on television…he’s very smart” and then she delivered the backhand to Fox’s cable news rival: “CNN has shown they don’t have any problem with people who have had sex scandals have shows,” an obvious reference to CNN’s Eliot Spitzer.

Powers said “it’s not out of the question” that Weiner run for office again, but only if he takes the time now to “go and get help.” As for a media job, some of Weiner’s best TV moments have happened on Fox, in fiery debates with Megyn Kelly. Fox, it should be noted, also has a timeslot opening up with the departure of Glenn Beck, whereas CNN’s schedule is full–and has at least one new show in development without a spot in the lineup–the upcoming Erin Burnett show.

Another network that might be looking for high personality progressives with media skills? Current, set to launch Keith Olbermann‘s show next week.
