Anthony Bourdain Wins at Critics Choice Awards

At last night’s Critics’ Choice Awards, TJ Miller hosted what was the first time the awards for television and film were combined into one event, Amy Schumer won big, and “Spotlight” took home the coveted Best Picture award for film.

Anthony Bourdain had a good night as well, winning the award for Best Unstructured Reality Show for Parts Unknown, which is on CNN and finished its sixth season in November of 2015. He beat the following nominees:

Cops – Spike

Deadliest Catch – Discovery

Intervention – A&E

Naked and Afraid – Discovery

Pawn Stars – History

 parts unknown
Bourdain’s show takes him to places like Lyon France, or the Mississippi Delta and explores the best of what’s around. Sometimes, he’ll also go to a place like Los Angeles, but he goes off the beaten path and shows us a different side of the city. Thus far there have been six seasons, and the show has won three Emmy awards, a Peabody award, and many other nominations.
