13-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Spotlighted by Trump Jokes He’ll Have to Send His Girlfriend ‘Straight to Jail’ If She Touches Him

The 13-year-old brain cancer survivor heralded by President Donald Trump and made an honorary Secret Service agent to Republican cheers this week is ready for all matters of national security — including girls.

Appearing on NewsNation’s On Balance with Leland Vittert this week, D.J. Daniel of Texas — the kid behind a most heartwarming moment during Trump’s address to Congress on Tuesday — said his “body almost dropped to the floor” when he realized he was becoming an honorary Secret Service agent.

When Vittert asked if Daniel’s friends will be jealous when he returns to school, he replied: “I’m pretty sure my girlfriend is gonna be jealous. I’m gonna be like, you gonna have to hit the road Jack because I’m Secret Service.”

“And if you touch me, you going to juvenile straight out and I ain’t gotta ask your parents for nothing. I’m sending you straight to jail,” he added.

Daniel also had high praise for the commander-in-chief, revealing he left him a note that said “Donald Trump is the best president of the United States of America” when they met in the White House the day after the speech.

“I didn’t get to say this to Mr. Trump, but I wanted to thank Mr. Donald Trump for bringing me here and I know it’s a big world to do this. And he didn’t have to do that. He picked me out of 100 people.”

Daniel’s shot to to fame has come with some controversy, as Democrats were trashed for refusing to applaud for him and MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace was put on blast for sputtering a “repulsive” take about his future in law enforcement.
