‘FAUX NEWS!’ Biden Campaign Beats Up On Fox Anchor John Roberts With Blistering Memos On 2 Consecutive Days

The Biden campaign tore into “lying” Fox News anchor John Roberts in a pair of blistering memos that accuse Roberts of misleading viewers about President Joe Biden’s accomplishments — and crediting former President Donald Trump unfairly.

At issue is Roberts’ on-air claim that Trump signed “an executive order to cap the price of insulin for Medicare recipients at $35 bucks,” and concluded that President Biden’s capping of insulin had “already happened.”

On Monday, the campaign slammed Roberts in the first of two “FAUX NEWS”-themed memos, each of which contained copious digs at the network’s blockbuster defamation settlement:

FAUX News: Fox Anchor Credits Trump With Major Biden Accomplishment

A week after going viral for lying, Roberts gives credit to Trump for Biden accomplishment

You would think Fox would have 787 million reasons to be more careful about what they tell their viewers.

You would be wrong.

In his desperate bid to help the Donald Trump campaign, John Roberts completely fabricated that Trump was responsible for capping insulin at $35 for seniors.

In fact, the election year stunt never materialized. Trump’s “policy” only would’ve helped a small, small number of seniors and was never implemented.

But President Biden delivered where Donald Trump failed, took on Big Pharma, beat them, and successfully passed historic legislation to cap the cost of insulin at $35 for seniors.

Biden-Harris 2024 spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:

“Here are some fair and balanced facts — Donald Trump said he would cap the price of insulin — he didn’t.

“Joe Biden said he would cap insulin costs — and he did. There is only one candidate in this race for president who isn’t in the pocket of Big Pharma, and knows how to beat them on behalf of working families: Joe Biden.

“John Roberts and Fox should have enough respect for their audience to correct their false statement and provide the facts. They should do it tomorrow, on air.”

Then on Tuesday, Roberts pushed back on the air by defending his claim that Trump signed an executive order, but conceded that it was a voluntary program and not a cap.

“President Biden made it his signature issue to convert the voluntary program into a mandatory program,” Roberts said.

The Biden campaign released another memo slashing Roberts and accusing the network of trying to “save face”:

FAUX NEWS Day 2: Fox Tries to Save Face After Misleading Viewers About Biden Accomplishment

After trying to credit Donald Trump with a major Biden accomplishment, Fox’s John Roberts conceded the truth — it is President Biden who has true Dominion over successfully capping insulin costs.

But Roberts still did his best to use his platform as a ̶F̶a̶u̶x̶ Fox News journalist to provide cover for Trump — and still embellished.

We’re happy to help John Roberts with the facts. Here they are:

Donald Trump announced an agreement for some Medicare plans to offer lower cost insulin (while charging higher monthly premiums) — after failing to deliver on his promise to cap insulin costs for all seniors. Experts agreed: This program was “modest.” At best.

President Biden delivered where Donald Trump failed: took on Big Pharma, beat them, and successfully passed historic legislation to cap the cost of insulin at $35 for ALL Medicare beneficiaries.

Donald Trump is currently promising to repeal the law that caps insulin costs.

John Roberts and Fox News may try to deceive the American people — but they know who is fighting for them and lowering their costs.

Biden-Harris 2024 Spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:

“It’s simple — Donald Trump promised to tackle prescription drug prices on the campaign trail, but did Big Pharma’s bidding as president. Joe Biden took on Big Pharma and won — capping the price of insulin for seniors on Medicare and taking action to lower the price of other prescription drugs that millions of Americans rely on.

“Those are the fair and balanced facts Fox viewers deserve, not the story that Trump wants to hear.”

A Biden campaign official took another dig at Fox over the Dominion lawsuit when asked about being invited on the air by Roberts, telling Mediaite “Why would anyone go on a program that misleads its viewers and expect to have a good faith conversation grounded in truth and the facts? I can think of 787 million reasons why not.”
