Flagrant Host Asks Pete Buttigieg If He Knows About ‘White Boy Fun’ — Then Explains ‘White Boy Fun’

Flagrant podcast host Andrew Schulz asked former Biden transportation secretary and future presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg if he’s ever experienced something called “White Boy Fun” — then explained what “White Boy Fun” is.

Buttigieg was a prominent campaign surrogate for President Joe Biden and is known for being one of the relatively few Democrats to appear on Fox News. Schulz is one of the many podcasters who scored interviews with Trump during the campaign, which many credit for his performance with young men.

On Wednesday’s edition of the Flagrant podcast, Schulz drew a bemused reaction when he asked Mayor Pete about “White Boy Fun,” which he insists is definitely a thing:

ANDREW SCHULZ: So can I just ask you, are you familiar with White Boy Fun?

PETE BUTTIGIEG: No.

ANDREW SCHULZ: This term, okay. So this is when straight guys pretend to be gay with each other. Straight white guys. Straight white guys — Black guys are just getting on it and they’re like, they’re doing really good. They’re like really coming around.

CO-HOST: It usually happens, basketball– this.

ANDREW SCHULZ: You get a little bit late and then you take it to the next level and they completely dominate it.

But okay, so did you never see any of that in the military where guys would like do little gay jokes with each and that kind of stuff?

PETE BUTTIGIEG: Uh, vaguely. I mean, that’s like half of middle school humor, like.

ANDREW SCHULZ: Yes. Also just like in your 40s, whatever. (LAUGHTER).

Okay, okay. So like during this and during this time, and it’s not like, to me, it’s now like shrouded in like any like hatred for gays.

It’s more about just like, how can I do something that potentially makes my– trolls my friend or makes him feel uncomfortable in this moment, right?

Are you ever in those scenarios? And at this time, you know you’re gay, but you’re not out. And then they’re doing this game with you with like, I’m gonna make Pete feel so uncomfortable and you’re like “Jokes on you. (LAUGHTER) “This is so weird, guys!”

PETE BUTTIGIEG: Not really, no. But I know like that, yeah, that happens to a lot of people really in this situation where like there’s this assumption, it’s just like one of the few minorities that like, it’s not obvious to everybody whether you’re part of that minority, right? Unless you decide to tell people.

And so yeah, I definitely know that like that kind of thing can happen, but I can’t off the top of my head think of an encounter like that.

ANDREW SCHULZ: Of those things.
