‘I LOVE THE FARMERS!’ Trump Fumes After Shock Iowa Poll Shows Him Trailing Harris, Dismisses Poll as ‘Heavily Skewed’

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at a shocking poll he called “heavily skewed” — which shows him trailing Vice President Kamala Harris in the state of Iowa.

In a post to his Truth Social platform, Trump fumed about the poll, and the famed pollster who conducted it — Ann Selzer. The poll, published by the Des Moines Register late Saturday, showed Harris leading Trump 47-44.

Trump completely rejected the poll’s findings.

“No President has done more for FARMERS, and the Great State of Iowa, than Donald J. Trump,” Trump wrote. “In fact, it’s not even close! All polls, except for one heavily skewed toward the Democrats by a Trump hater who called it totally wrong the last time, have me up, BY A LOT. I LOVE THE FARMERS, AND THEY LOVE ME.”

It’s unclear exactly which poll Trump is referring to when he said “the last time,” but if it’s the 2020 election, he’s incorrect to describe Selzer’s forecast as “totally wrong.” Days before the 2020 vote, Selzer’s final poll showed Trump leading President Joe Biden by 7 points. He won by roughly 8.

Selzer is generally regarded as one of the best pollsters in the business. Election guru Nate Silver — while noting the Selzer’s findings were an outlier — said he “wouldn’t want to play poker” against her.

Trump concluded his message by citing another poll of Iowa, from Emerson, which shows him leading by 10.

“THE JUST OUT EMERSON POLL HAS ME UP 10 POINTS IN IOWA,” Trump wrote. “THANK YOU!”
