Kamala Harris Crowd Goes Wild When She Shoots Down Heckler With Trump Crack
Former Vice President Kamala Harris drew huge applause when she shot down a heckler by telling them to go complain to President Donald Trump.
VP Harris stunned the political media world with surprisingly candid excerpts from her campaign tome 107 Days, and has continued to make waves on a media tour in support of the book since its Sept. 23 release. The title is a reference to the time elapsed between her ascension to the top of the ticket and her Election Day loss to now-President Donald Trump.
The former veep’s book tour took her to Washington, DC this week, where she spoke at an event hosted by TV and podcast host Kamie Crawford.
During their chat, Harris finally lost patience with a persistent heckler and blew her off with a crowd-pleasing quip:
FORMER VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS: And we should never let somebody else’s limited ability to see who we are, limit who we think, and know we are.
Let that not be a limiting factor in your life.
(APPLAUSE)
Because they’ll figure it out soon enough. They’ll figure out who you are soon enough, and, you know, I sometimes think about–.
HECKLER: (INDISTINCT HECKLING ABOUT GAZA).
FORMER VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS: You know what, I am not president of the United States!
(WILD APPLAUSE).
You want to go to the White House? And talk to him? Then go on and do that!
CROWD: KAMALA! KAMALA! KAMALA!
The jab came amid Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire agreement in the Israel-Hamas war that could soon result in the return of all Israeli hostages.
Ex-VP Harris went viral earlier this week with a profanity-punctuated commentary on the Trump administration:
We are living history right now, and you all storytellers are living this. You’re not passive observers, you know that. You’re living it, and I would ask you that all the emotions that we are feeling — give those emotions, give that experience to those people that you are writing about and writing for. It gets back to my point about helping people just put a label on it, even if it doesn’t change the circumstance. Because there is so much about this moment that is trying to make people feel like they’ve lost their minds, when in fact, these mothaf*ckas are crazy!
