MSNBC Host Asks Jen Psaki If She Worries About Trump Administration ‘Coming After’ Her
MSNBC host Ali Velshi asked fellow host and former Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki if she ever worris about President Donald Trump or his administration “coming after you?”
During the toss to Friday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Briefing with Jen Psaki, Velshi injected some dystopian menace into the lighthearted handoff banter by noting that whatever level of threat he might feel as a journalist goes double for Biden insider Psaki:
ALI VELSHI: That’s it for All In for this week, but I will be back hosting my own show tomorrow and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. Eastern right here on MSNBC.
The Briefing with Jen Psaki starts right now. Hey Jen, I you know, I– people ask me as a journalist “Are you, you know, you worried about the way things are going with this administration, them coming after you and all that kind of stuff?”.
And I think whatever my answer is it’s like double for you, right? You’re a journalist and you were in the administration.
Just occurred to me, If– I mean I need to find out if you’re scared because if you are not scared then I’m good.
JEN PSAKI: You know, I try not to be. I only get scared when it relates to my kids and threats I get to my home. We all get them.
But otherwise, look I think we’re both so fortunate to have this ability to say what we think–.
ALI VELSHI: Yes!
JEN PSAKI: –and share hopefully insights on our best days about what’s happening. And that’s a huge gift, so that’s what I try and think about.
ALI VELSHI: And if you have it, you must use it. If you have voice in this society, you must use it. Good to see you, my friend. Have yourself a great final show for the week, and we’ll see you next week.
JEN PSAKI: Thank you. I’ll be watching tomorrow, Ali. No rest for you ever.
ALI VELSHI: Thank you, my friend.
JEN PSAKI: All right.
