Steve Bannon Scolds Far-Right Pundit for Wanting to Give Up on ‘Irrelevant’ Epstein Files: ‘You Can’t Surrender Like That!’
Steve Bannon fumed after a far-right pundit — appearing on his podcast Tuesday — called for the Trump administration to move on from the Jeffrey Epstein files.
In an interview on Bannon’s War Room podcast, far-right commentator Julie Kelly made her case for why the Trump DOJ — which, to the consternation of many MAGA faithful, has consistently stonewalled on all things Epstein — should focus on other matters.
“I also don’t care about the Epstein information,” Kelly said. “I don’t about those files. I think it’s irrelevant. No one is going to be charged. Everyone got away with it. And I would much rather dig into January 6th—”
Bannon jumped in to vehemently object.
“You can’t surrender like that!” He said. “No. You’ve got to get the files. Because in the files, you’re gonna find out the cover-up.”
“I just have never cared about it personally,” Kelly said.
But Bannon, who has spent a great deal of time on the Epstein case, made clear that he certainly does care. Last week, he challenged the narrative being put forth by FBI Director Kash Patel that Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail. And he noted that Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi already claimed to have various Epstein tapes and files which have yet to be made public.
“You’ll get to the cover-up, of exactly what the cover-up was,” Bannon said. “They’re even admitting they got these tapes and things — this is Kash and Pam.”
Bannon argued that once they get the ball rolling, an Epstein investigation would quickly snowball and expose an FBI which Bannon believes should be taken “apart.”
“The process itself delivers,” Bannon said.
