‘Tread VERY Carefully!’ Trump AG Pam Bondi Warns Rep. Jasmine Crockett Against ‘Calling for Attacks’ on Elon Musk
Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) while accusing her of “calling for attacks” on Elon Musk.
Speaking with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo in an interview on Sunday Morning Futures, Bondi condemned the Texas Democrat over comments she made during a virtual rally on Wednesday — in which Crockett said she wants to see Musk “taken down.”
“Maria, now you have this congresswoman Crockett — who is calling for attacks on Elon Musk on her birthday?!” Bondi said. “Let’s take him out on my birthday, she said?! And yet she turns and says ‘Oh, I’m not calling for violence.’ Well, she is an elected public official, and so she needs to tread very carefully! Because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we’re going to fight to protect all of the Tesla owners throughout this country. And, it’s basic safety. Once again, domestic terrorism is going to come to a stop in our country.”
Crockett’s remarks during the March 19 rally have drawn heavy criticism from the Right. The congresswoman did say she wants to see Musk “taken down” but immediately, in the same train of thought, made clear that she wanted to see that happen in non-violent fashion. Here are her remarks:
On March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down. I have learned, as I serve on the DOGE Oversight committee, that there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now, and that language is money. And so I’ve been so proud to see us organize behind the cause. Because here’s the deal: The things that we’re fighting for — we are fighting for our country, we are fighting for democracy, we’re fighting for our freedom. And when I say fighting, I am saying that figuratively. Obviously everything that I am promoting is nonviolent and so definitely don’t want anyone to take that word literal in any way.
Shortly after Bondi’s appearance on Fox News, Crockett spoke with MSNBC’s Alex Witt and denied ever promoting violence against Musk — while also taking a dig at President Donald Trump.
“Just in case the slow people listening decide to click this up later, I just want to say that I have never promoted violence whatsoever,” Crockett said. “Yet I’ve also never made an excuse for those violent actors such as the ones on January 6th. So Pam Bondi, if you have an issue with terrorism, maybe you should talk to your boss about locking back up those guys that he let out that participated in January 6th.”
