Trump Lashes Out at ‘Deranged’ Jack Smith, Biden for ‘Corrupt’ Probe into Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA
President Donald Trump accused the Biden administration of having “weaponized” the Justice Department against the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk and his organization, Turning Point USA.
In a late-night post on Truth Social, the president branded the administration “corrupt and incompetent,” alleging that investigators tried to drive the youth-focused group into collapse.
He then claimed that he, too, was targeted:
Why was the wonderful Turning Point under INVESTIGATION by “Deranged” Jack Smith and the Corrupt & Incompetent Biden Administration. They tried to force Charlie, and many other people and movements, out of business. They Weaponized the Justice Department against Sleepy Joe Biden’s Political Opponents, including ME! They allowed the daughter of a Judge, on one of the corrupt trials against me, to become the biggest fund raiser for Biden and Kamala, making many Millions of Dollars for herself and her family, but with her father, the Judge, not only refusing to RECUSE himself, but putting a gag order on me, not allowing ANY talk about their family corruption and unprecedented conflict of interest. Every leading legal analyst and pundit said this trial was wrong and should not have been allowed to go forward. But it did because of a Corrupt Judge who will hopefully pay a very big price for his illegal actions, someday!
The claim comes as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) disclosed that the FBI’s 2020 election-related probe – codenamed Arctic Frost – swept up subpoenas for dozens of Republican-linked organizations, including Turning Point.
Grassley argued the investigation was “a vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.”
The FBI has not publicly explained why Turning Point was targeted, though Kirk’s platforms reportedly amplified Trump’s claims of 2020 election fraud.
Kirk, who built Turning Point into a hub of youthful Republican activism that served to energize the youth vote that helped Trump’s 2024 campaign, was assassinated in Utah last week while speaking at a university event.
The suspect in Kirk’s killing was later identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
