Trump Lawyer Lashes Out On Fox News At Journos Caught on Hot Mic Joking About Trump Assassination

Trump attorney Alina Habba lashed out at journalists who were caught on a hot mic joking about former President Donald Trump being assassinated. as they awaited his appearance at the federal courthouse where his criminal immunity appeal will be held.

On Tuesday morning, news cameras were set up at locations between the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia and the E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. Courthouse in anticipation of Trump’s arrival for a hearing on his claim of presidential immunity in the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

One such live feed caught some banter between journalists grousing about the difficulty of getting a good shot of Trump from their vantage point — banter which veered into gallows humor with some references to the late President John F. Kennedy and a convertible:

JOURNO 1: You know what the worst part is? Even if he has his window open and he’s hanging out of it, he will be on the other side of the street.

JOURNO 2: I mean, if he’s driving, we’ve got a good shot!

JOURNO 1: Yeah, if he’s driving with the front window open?

JOURNO 2: Yeah, or if it’s a convertible?

JOURNO 1: Yeah. I wasn’t thinking about that.

JOURNO 2: Yeah. Like if he just pulls up–

JOURNO 1: Like JFK?

JOURNO 2: (laughs)

JOURNO 1: Maybe someone, just like they told JFK. You know what you should do? You should take a convertible! It’s so nice out!

On Tuesday night’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Hannity, Habba ripped the photojournalists as “deranged”:

SEAN HANNITY: Foreign Trump arrived before he arrived in court today. Two unidentified so-called journalists waiting for him caught on a hot mic, joking about whether, well, he’d be coming in a convertible and assassinated like JFK.

Anyway, here, with reaction to all of these developments, Trump’s legal spokeswoman, Alina Habba, is with us. Alina, your reaction to that?

ALINA HABBA: My reaction is probably like most human beings with any decency and soul, to joke about an assassination of a former president and leading candidate is deranged. It’s sick, and it should be handled appropriately.

As it goes to Fani Willis. I just, if those allegations are true. Sean, that is so disturbing on so many levels.

Habba was referencing allegations made against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis without evidence in a court filing without evidence.
