Trump Rages At Joe Biden When Asked If Security Clearance Blocking Spree Is ‘Retribution’

President Donald Trump raged at former President Joe Biden when a reporter on Air Force One asked if his raft of security clearance revocations is “a form of retribution?”

Trump had a busy Super Bowl Sunday, sitting for a pre-game interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier — during which he predicted the Kansas City Chiefs would defeat the Philadelphia Eagles — and taking questions aboard Air Force One on his way to becoming the first sitting president to attend the game.

During his Air Force One gaggle, a reporter asked Trump about “yanking” security clearances from people like former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Biden, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Biden Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, and others.

He asked Trump to explain why it “makes the country safer” to do so, and whether the move is retribution.

Trump responded by accusing some of maybe “breaking the law” and raged at Biden over the border:

REPORTER: On security clearances. You’ve been yanking a lot of them. Why does it make the country safer to take away the AGs’ security clearance? And is that a form of retribution?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: There are people that we don’t respect, if there are people that we thought that were breaking the law, came very close to it in previous years, we do it, and we’ve done it with some people.

We’ve done it with Biden himself. Biden himself. We think our country is not as safe when you gave him clearance.

We don’t think he knows what he’s doing and what he’s done to this country is a disgrace!

And what he’s done in terms of allowing criminals, murders, drug wars, into our country, people from mental institutions into our country, he should be ashamed of himself!

REPORTER: But do you have a valid reason?
