‘Sharia in Dearborn’: MAGA Blasts Michigan Mayor Who Ripped ‘Islamophobe’ Constituent in Viral Clip

Many supporters of President Donald Trump are livid at a Michigan mayor who accused one of his constituents of being an “Islamophobe” because the citizen had the audacity to question why a local street was being named in honor of a terrorist sympathizer.

Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud, during a city council meeting last week, blasted resident Edward Barham and said he was “not welcome” in the city. Barham had asked why a street had been named to honor Osama Siblani, the publisher of The Arab American News who has made pro-Hamas and pro-Hezbollah comments in the past.

Hammoud, in a clip from Fox 2 in Detroit that has went viral on X this week, skewered his constituent for protesting.

“[You are] a bigot, and you are racist, and you’re an Islamophobe,” the mayor told him. “Although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here. And the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating that you moved out of this city.”

Siblani, among some of his past comments, said Hezbollah would “take care of the job” against Israel at a rally last year. And in 2003, he told The Washington Post that while President George W. Bush may have viewed Hezbollah and Hamas as terrorist organizations, he viewed them as “freedom fighters.”

In 2023, Dearborn became the first Arab-majority city in America.

A clip of Hammoud blasting his constituent was shared by End Wokeness on X on Tuesday and quickly went viral, pulling in more than 5 million views over the next day.

“They’re creating their own Islamist kingdom in Michigan, and Democrats will call you a bigot if you dissent,” Bonchie, a writer for Red State, said in response to it.

A number of other conservatives voiced their displeasure with it as well.

Gad Saad, a Canadian professor who frequently appears on Fox News, said the U.S. was engaged in “suicidal empathy” by allowing in people who do not share American values.

Elon Musk, President Trump’s former DOGE boss, responded to the clip with a raised eyebrow emoji.
