Chelsea Clinton Introduces Hillary at DNC: ‘My Mother Will Make Us Proud’

chelsea clintonChelsea Clinton appeared at the Democratic National Convention tonight to speak as a “very, very proud daughter.”

She called Hillary Clinton a wonderful grandmother and reminisced on some touching family memories from when she was little.

“I loved that my parents expected me to have opinions and to be able to back them up with facts,” Clinton said. “I never once doubted that my parents cared about my thoughts and my ideas, and I always, always knew how deeply they loved me. That feeling of being valued and loved, that’s what my mom wants for every child.”

She spoke of her mother’s public service and how she’s driven by faith and a “fierce sense of justice.”

Clinton avoided mentioning her mother’s rival, instead saying, “This November, I’m voting for a woman who is my role model as my mother and as an advocate.”

She concluded, “My mother will make us proud as President of the United States.”
