Colbert: Fox & Friends May Have Ebola
In mocking Fox & Friends‘ outward panic over the first case of Ebola in the United States, Stephen Colbert discovered something chilling on Thursday evening.
“I won’t be fooled into staying calm by the so-called ‘experts’ with their so-called ‘medical degrees’ and their so-called ‘fingers,'” the Comedy Central host said. “And neither will the Fox & Friends.”
Colbert then played the infamous clip of infectious disease expert Dalilah Restrepo reassuring the Fox hosts that there’s no need to panic over Ebola. But he noticed one thing: She coughed!
“Did you hear that cough?” Colbert shouted. “Come on. She clearly has Ebola. And so, now so do all the Fox and Friends.”
“If we do lose one of them, thank God there’s a spare Doocy,” he added, referring to host Steve Doocy‘s Fox correspondent son Peter. “Fortunately, folks, for every medical professional out there reassuring us, there’s a TV professional re-scaring us.”
