Comey: I Have No Doubt Russia Meddled in Our Elections and Hacked the DNC, DCCC, Voter Rolls
During today’s Senate Intelligence hearing, former FBI Director James Comey expressed his certainty that Russia meddled in the 2016 election and did so by hacking into different databases.
Speaking to Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr, the ex-FBI chief was asked specifically if he had any doubt that Russia attempted to interfere in the elections.
“No,” Comey responded.
Burr then wanted to know if Comey had any doubt that the Russian government was behind intrusions into the systems of the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and leaked it out.
Again, Comey’s answer was simple and to the point: “No.”
Comey also stated he had no doubt that Russia was behind cyber-intrusion of state voter files and that the Russian government was fully aware of those activities. At the same time, he said he had seen no indication that any votes were altered.
