Fox & Friends Celebrate CNN’s Fareed Zakaria Sounding Alarm on Biden’s Flagging Poll Numbers: ‘This Thing Is Caving In!’
The co-hosts of Fox & Friends were impressed by the crowd size at a New Jersey rally for former President Donald Trump and had even more to celebrate: lousy poll numbers for President Joe Biden that had even CNN’s Fareed Zakaria concerned.
In gushing coverage of the rally — during which Trump delivered an expletive-filled speech to a large gathering of supporters from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and possibly other states — co-host Brian Kilmeade likened Trump to an A-list celebrity. He painted him as superior to that:
The most underreported major story. If you’re sitting there, I watch Sunday shows. Not one. What outside outside hours was actually going to point out. Over 100,000 people showed up in a place that he lost by 15 points. I know people came from Pennsylvania, New York, obviously. They sat for hours. It was 50 degrees, maybe even lower, you know how windy it gets at those beaches? Steve knows. Wildwood, New Jersey, 100,000 people. They couldn’t get close to the stage, they want to be a part of it. Name one other place where, if you took Julia Roberts — we’ll talk about this later — George Clooney, [former President] Bill Clinton, [former President] Barack Obama, and Joe Biden, you would not get 10,000, maybe 15, if you’re lucky, and you brought Bruce Springsteen in! But this guy gets 100,000 to make a speech, and the prelim was the governor of North Dakota.
But then he cited Zakaria, who said during his show on Sunday that his concerns over Trump being reelected in November were growing:
Where else, at one point, you have to take a step back and go, why is this happening? We have spent six years trying to tell you that he’s not worthy of being a human being, let alone being president. And I want to say this — you can’t underscore enough when Fareed Zakaria backs up Bill Maher and Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan voted for [Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)]. Bill Maher says, “I am a quintessential liberal.” They try to marginalize both, try to get him on all the different ways. But for him to say that, this shows that this thing is caving in. Either you pull Joe Biden out right now or you almost conceded!
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt repeated Zakaria’s quote:
Earhardt: Well, and Fareed started it out by saying, “This is not playing out the way I thought it would.”
Lawrence Jones: He’s an honest broker, I got to give him credit.
Kilmeade: He’s honestly, I mean, he’s always, he’s very bright, I get it. But he just is one of these traditional politicians who think Joe Biden, Donald Trump is not worthy of it. He cannot get over it. And he just, now he can’t help but see what he sees.
