Fox News IDs, Reports New Details on Stenographer Who Went on Bizarre Rant on House Floor

One of the more surprising news stories to come out of the government shutdown was the ramblings of a House stenographer who had to be forcibly removed from the room. And now more information has come to light about who she is and what happened to her.

Fox News’ Mike Emanuel told Megyn Kelly the woman has been identified at Diane Reidy, and she was interviewed by Capitol Police before being sent to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Kelly then brought on producer Chad Pergram, who described the “strange” and “bizarre” scene as it unfolded, and explained how many people, especially members of Congress were concerned or had “a look of shock” on their faces.
