Fox News’ Shepard Smith Beats All Competitors Combined
Cable news ratings, February 8, 2011:
•Fox News’ Shepard Smith powered to a strong finish at 7 p.m. Tuesday, finishing with 552,000 viewers 25-54, more than the ratings for CNN’s John King, USA, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and HLN’s Issues combined. Smith also fared well against his fellow Fox News colleagues, drawing the network’s third-best ratings of the night, after Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.
•CNN’s Piers Morgan again failed to get out of third place at 9 p.m., attracting 298,000 viewers 25-54, close to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow (314,000) but nowhere near Fox’s Sean Hannity (629,000).
