Fox’s Chad Pergram: Biden Impeachment Inquiry is Fueled by ‘Need to Put a GOP Win on the Table’
Fox News reporter Chad Pergram is well respected on Capitol Hill, which is why his summary of the reasons behind the Biden impeachment inquiry is noteworthy.
Pergram reported as a stated fact that the Republican motivation behind an impeachment inquiry is the “need to put a GOP win on the table for the base.” Huh.
In a report filed Tuesday on America’s Newsroom to anchor Dana Perino, Pergram laid out details surrounding the House investigation into alleged corruption within the Biden family and a 78-page interim staff reporting due to come out following news that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer’s claim that President Joe Biden received money from his son Hunter that originated overseas.
“Republicans are aiming to hold a vote to formalize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden next week,” Pergram noted, adding, “IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler speak to House Ways and Means Committee members today. Republicans accused the Bidens of hiding income.”
“But Democrats say funds directed to President Biden were repayments for a truck belonging to Hunter Biden,” he continued. “Democrats contend Republicans are trying to execute an election year diversion.”
Pergram appeared to back the Democrats’ take on the inquiry, adding, “Republicans also want to hold an impeachment inquiry vote because they need to put a GOP win on the table for the base.”
