Fox’s Howard Kurtz Stunned by Trump Adviser’s Attack on Biden: ‘You’re Accusing Him of Being Evil Based on a Smile?’

Fox News host Howard Kurtz was more than taken aback by a guest’s accusation that President Joe Biden is “evil” because he smiled after being asked a question.

On Friday, Biden delivered remarks from the White House about Israel’s war in Gaza. He prefaced his comments by acknowledging Donald Trump’s conviction the day before in New York, where the former president was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records. As Biden walked away from the lectern after concluding his speech, a reporter asked the president about Trump’s response to the verdict.

“Mr. President, can you tell us, Sir, Donald Trump refers to himself as a political prisoner and blames you directly,” the reporter said. “What’s your response to that, sir?”

Biden paused, turned toward the reporter, and smiled before continuing to walk away.

Appearing on Sunday’s Media Buzz on Fox News, Trump senior campaign adviser Jason Miller baselessly insisted the smile shows that Biden was behind the “rigged” prosecution of the state case against Trump in New York.

“Keep in mind, if you saw Joe Biden on Friday when he gave that press conference and he was asked if he was behind this as he walked away and he turned over his shoulder and gave that smile – that was the look of evil, Howie. That was the look of someone who knew that they were behind this.”

Miller’s dramatic comment drew a stunned response from Kurtz.

“You’re accusing him of being evil based on a smile?” the incredulous host asked.

“I’m saying that the look on his face – very much he knew what was going on and he– I believe that Joe Biden thinks this is all funny,” replied Miller, who accused Biden of weaponizing the Department of Justice against his opponent in November’s election.
