NewsNation correspondent Geraldo Rivera and podcast host Keith Olbermann exchanged insults on Monday after Olbermann took issue with Rivera’s critical Curb Your Enthusiasm finale review.

In his review of the finale of Larry David’s iconic comedy show, Rivera described David as the same “self-righteous, snobby, self-loathing, narcissistic ass he portrays,” and claimed the comedian once ran away from him during a party at Alan Dershowitz’s house because he worked for Fox News at the time.

“After 12 seasons, many viewers lament the passing of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Larry David’s sour, pseudo bio-series. I’m not a fan,” wrote Rivera. “Now, every time I see Larry being rude, crude and intolerant on television, I say that’s him, that really is Larry David, and he’s not acting.”

Rivera’s review received backlash from many fans of the show, including Olbermann, who replied, “Maybe everybody hates you just because you suck.”

“I didn’t know you were still alive,” Rivera shot back.

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo also joined in, lending his support to his network colleague.

“I have seen you give guys a pass in person because you knew they were not worth the effort to slap some sense into,” wrote Cuomo to Rivera. “This is that situation times a zillion.”
