‘He’s Totally Unhinged’ Nikki Haley Blasts Trump for Pushing RNC to Call for Her to Drop Out

Nikki Haley called former President Donald Trump “totally unhinged” in her first interview following a New Hampshire primary that led the head of the RNC to urge her to drop out. Haley thinks that was all Trump’s doing and said so on Fox News.

The former U.S. Ambassador to the UN turned Trump rival appeared on America’s Newsroom Friday morning. Dana Perino opened by noting, “Ronna McDaniel, the head of the Republican National Committee Tuesday night, said she thinks you should get out of the race,” before asking, “Have you spoken to her?”

Haley did not demur in her reply. “I let her know how disappointed I was,” she said tersely. But then she pivoted to her primary opponent.

“Let’s look at the last 48 hours, Dana. I mean, first of all, you had election night,” she said. “Trump gets on stage, he throws an absolute temper tantrum talking about revenge, but he says nothing about the American people, nothing about what he’s going to do about the wasteful spending that he encouraged and allowed the Republicans and Democrats to do in his term.”

“He said nothing about how he’s going to secure the border and what he’s going to do differently that he didn’t do when he was president. Before, he said nothing about how he’s going to prevent war,” she continued. “Then he goes and says that he’s going to ban anyone from MAGA that donates to me?”

“Think about that,” she added. “That’s a president who’s supposed to serve every person in America, and you’re deciding that you’re going to have a club and actually ban people from being in and out of your club. And then he goes and encourages the members of the RNC and tries to push them into saying that he’s the nominee in the race? I mean, they got so much pushback that he had to backtrack,” she concluded. “He’s totally unhinged.”

“Are you sure that it was he that was asking for that resolution?” Perino asked, perhaps naively.”I mean, he says in the Sruth social post, ‘Thank you to RNC for the respect and devotion you’re showing me.’ But he has no interest in doing that.”

“Well, it was his people that pushed it forward. I know how much he’s pushed on Ronna,” Haley replied. “Ronna has made that very clear that he was pushing her to stop debates all this time. And so he pushes them to do things.”

Bill Hemmer then challenged Haley on past and future wins in a manner that would be sure to please Trump, but Haley stayed on message, saying that she is only focused on getting stronger in each state primary, which she is taking one at a time.
