‘I’m Not Joking!’ CNN’s Jake Tapper Roasts Trump Over Weird Amelia Earhart File Rant Amid Epstein Heat

CNN anchor Jake Tapper mocked President Donald Trump over a post promising to release files related to famed aviator Amelia Earhart, making a pointed allusion to the so-called Epstein Files.

After months of keen interest in the Epstein Files story, it seemed odd when Trump posted a Truth Social rant expressing a willingness to open the files related to Amelia Earhart — especially her “last, fatal flight!”

Trump wrote:

I have been asked by many people about the life and times of Amelia Earhart, such an interesting story, and would I consider declassifying and releasing everything about her, in particular, her last, fatal flight! She was an Aviation Pioneer, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and achieved many other Aviation “firsts.” She disappeared in the South Pacific while trying to become the first woman to fly around the World. Amelia made it almost three quarters around the World before she suddenly, and without notice, vanished, never to be seen again. Her disappearance, almost 90 years ago, has captivated millions. I am ordering my Administration to declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

On Friday’s edition of CNN’s The Lead, Tapper interrupted a panel discussion to inform his viewers and colleagues of the Earhart news, and quipped that Trump should keep going through the “E” file cabinet:

MANDELA BARNES: Yeah, they didn’t do what they do with the Epstein files, which is try to divert divert divert although

JAKE TAPPER: I don’t know if you knew this but President Trump. This is true! This is not a joke.

President Trump just posted on Truth Social that he’s gonna release the files related to Amelia Earhart. I’m not joking!

So he’s in the “E”s, as long as you’re in the “E”s Mr. President, there’s some other files in the E-file!
