‘It Is Outrageous’: Netanyahu Adviser on Fox News Demands UN Chief Resign Over Hamas Comments

The adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres resign over comments made about Israeli-Hamas war.

Guterres said during a press conference on Tuesday that the attacks by Hamas on Israel “did not happen in a vacuum,” noting “56 years of suffocating occupation” of the Palestinian people. Earlier this month, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel by killing civilians and taking hundreds of hostages.

“I think this is a this is a test for moral clarity. Either you’re with the civilized world or you’re with these Hamas barbarians,” Falk told Faulkner. “What the general secretary said is outrageous. He should revoke those remarks immediately or resign or both.”

He added, “Actually, it’s outrageous that he gives any justification for the murder of civilians and of beheading people, of burning babies alive. I think that’s just hideous. And he should revoke and or resign after those after those terrible, outrageous statements.”

Faulkner then asked the Netanyahu’s adviser about Israel current relationship with UN where he responded by reiterating the organizations importance.

“The UN is a very important the international organization. It’s composed of many different countries. And as I said from the outset, all civilized countries have supported Israel in its fight against Hamas. And we appreciate that support,” he concluded.

Guterres during his Tuesday press conference also called for a pause of Israel’s offensive in the Gaza strip where food, water, and electricity have been cut from the city
