Jake Tapper Snarks on Hillary Clinton Taking ‘Full Responsibility’ for Her Loss

Earlier, we posted about Hillary Clinton’s comments at the Women For Women lunch in New York. While she said she took “full responsibility” for her election loss, she also added this:

“I was on the way to winning until a combination of Jim Comey’s letter on October 28th and Russian Wikileaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off.”

Tuesday on The Lead, Jake Tapper opened by needling the former Secretary of State for what he believed to be excuse-making.

“Hillary Clinton today accepting full responsibility for the election loss,” Tapper said. “Except for the part when she blamed Comey, Putin, Wikileaks, misogyny, and the media.”

Tapper was not alone in his criticism. Various media figures criticized Clinton for comments that Trump wasn’t pressed for policy details during the debates.
