Joe Biden Nailed His Boston Marathon Memorial Speech, Except for This One Little Part
Vice President Joe Biden seemed to nail his Boston marathon memorial speech Tuesday afternoon, as a perusal of Twitter reaction shows the world going from “LOL uncky Biden” to “that was one hell of a speech” pretty dang quickly.
In fact, there was only one brief Biden-esque moment. “Even though I’m not a Boston fan, I love you guys, man,” Biden told the crowd of Boston marathon survivors and first responders — and then said “it was worth it” to see the survivors “soar”:

He meant worth it to come up to see the crowd, but whatevs. Biden finished with a rousing testament to the city’s, and country’s, resiliency:
“Next Monday, on Patriots’ Day, when I’m told up to 36,000 people will line up to start the marathon, you will send a resounding message around the world not just to rest of the world, but to the terrorists that we will never yield. We will never cower. America will never, ever, ever stand down. We are Boston. We are America. We respond. We endure. We overcome. And we own the finish line.”
