Jon Stewart’s Barack Barrage Continues, With Diminishing Returns

On last night’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart fired another salvo in his recent bombardment campaign on Barack Obama. While some of his criticisms have been funny and on-target, he missed the mark on both counts this time. On the bright side, he did get in a nice shot at Fox News’ Gretchen Carlson right at the end.

It was barely a week ago that Stewart perceptively tweaked the President’s “ass-kicking” tone shift with a little vintage Dubya impression, but in last night’s clip, he seems to yearn for more. He also cherry-picks around the parts where the President actually did explain the plan, and he seems to have missed the news that the President really did kick some ass just hours before Stewart’s taping.

OK, I did laugh at that Wichita town council meeting line.
