Lindsey Graham Tells Iranian Leader, ‘Trump Is Gonna Kill You’

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said President Donald Trump will have Ayatollah Ali Khamenei killed if Iran’s government continues cracking down on protesters in the country. For good measure, Graham called Trump “the greatest president of all time.”

On Saturday, U.S. forces invaded Venezuela and abducted President Nicolas Maduro, who, along with his wife, was arraigned in federal court in New York and pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges. Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has been sworn in as interim president. Trump has demanded that Rodriguez meet certain demands or he will send a “second wave” to Venezuela. Among those is allowing U.S. oil companies to rebuild the energy sector in the country, and possibly be “reimbursed” by the U.S. government.

Graham, a foreign policy hawk, appeared on Tuesday’s Hannity on Fox News, where he once again praised the president’s action against Venezuela. And this time, the senator named Trump as the best president the U.S. has ever had:

If you defy [Trump], if you’re one of the holdovers and you try to undercut him, what happened to Maduro is gonna happen to you. But there’ll be a day in the future when the country is ready for elections, free and fair, that will elect people that will be allies of the United States. The dictator, the thug is in jail in New York.

Donald J. Trump, in my view, is the greatest president of all time. He’s cutting your taxes, he’s cutting spending. Every drug narcoterrorist drug dealer, drug leader is on the run.

Cuba is on death watch. Cuba depends on Russia and Venezuela. Both of them are in a box. It’s just a matter of time, and I mean a short time until the communist dictatorship in Cuba that has oppressed their people since the mid-50s [sic, 1959] falls to be replaced with a democracy friendly to the United States.

Graham went on to address “the people of Iran” and the protests against the government there. At least 36 people have died over the last 10 days in demonstrations over Iran’s economy. The senator claimed that if the government continues to kill protestors, Trump would order Khamenei killed:

We support you. Donald J. Trump is not Barack Obama. He has your back. And to the Ayatollah, you need to understand, if you keep killing your people who are demanding a better life, Donald J. Trump is gonna kill you. Change is coming to Iran. It’ll be the biggest change in the history of the Middle East to get rid of this Nazi regime. To the people of Iran, help is on the way.
